This is a maneuver hand controller used in the Gemini program. Located beneath the left control panel inside the cabin, it had centering springs and six switches, one for each of the two directions along the pitch, yaw, and roll axes. Movement of the handle in any of these six directions initiated corresponding spacecraft movement. This controller did not fly in space. It is not known who manufactured it. NASA transferred the artifact to NASM in 1972.
This object is not on display at the National Air and Space Museum. It is either on loan or in storage.
