These are a Breech Assembly, Strap Cutter, two Interconnect Manifolds, a Firing Mechanism, two Mild Detonating Fuse Manifolds, and two screw-in connectors from the Gemini 3 capsule. Most of these objects were part of the capsule's pyrotechnic systems, which activated seat ejection, restraint release, or parachute deployment. Astronauts Virgil Grissom and John Young flew in space for less than 24 hours on March 23, 1965, during Gemini 3. It was the first manned mission in the program. Ordnance Associates made the Interconnect Manifolds and Firing Mechanism. It is not known who made the other objects. NASA transferred them to NASA in 1971.
