Members of the launch pad closeout crew always wore the patch of the current mission. This is the patch for Discovery's final mission, STS-133, flown February 24-March 9, 2011. Mission patches were backed with Velcro for easy removal and exchange. Travis Thompson, the closeout crew chief who gave his uniform to the Museum, placed this patch on it because he wanted his uniform to reflect the last flight of the Space Shuttle orbiter that now resides in the Smithsonian.
