Ratier is a historic French manufacturer of aircraft components, particularly propellers. During the first world-war, the company specialized in propeller blades for French Air Force aircraft. Later it produced propellers for the French mail service Aéropostale. Most recently Ratier Figeac became part of the United Technologies Corporation, and produced propellers for such aircraft as the C-130 and A400M military transports.

This artifact is from a German Henschel Hs 129, a World War II specialized ground-attack aircraft.
