The Manual Data Readout, along with the Manual Data Keyboard, was the way that Gemini astronauts communicated with the Gemini on-board computer. Designed by IBM, the array of numerical readouts along the top of the device displayed memory address locations when the "read out" button was pressed. It also displayed the values of addresses and data that were sent to the computer when the "enter" key was pressed. A power switch turned the device on, and a "clear" button cleared the display.

Donated by McDonnell Douglas to the Museum in 1972.
