The National Commander Citation ribbon became obsolete on January 1, 1978. Prior to that time, it was the highest award in the CAP's Senior Member Training Program. It has since been replaced by the Gill Robb Wilson Award.

Civil Air Patrol (CAP) National Commander Citation Ribbon; silver bars at each end of ribbon, center adorned with two 45 degree angle to the right stripes, one a thick blue and the other a thin silver; left side of ribbon is dark blue with a silver star in the center, while the right side of the ribbon is orange.
