This 10-kopek stamp illustrates the Vostok launch vehicle and rocket that took Yuri Gagarin on the world's first human spaceflight on April 12, 1961. The image shows the rocket climbing over the walls of the Kremlin. This is one of the first three stamps that the Soviet Union issued to commemorate Gagarin's flight.

The military attaché to the Soviet Embassy donated this item to the museum.
