This is a stand for a model of unknown scale of the Hound Dog AGM-28, a U.S. Air Force air-to-ground missile which also had the designation Hound Dog GAM-77. Carried by and launched from B-52 intercontinental bombers, it had a nuclear warhead and was designed to destroy Soviet air defense systems enabling the bombers to reach their targets. The missile had a maximum speed of Mach 2.1, a range of 710 miles, could fly from tree-top level to 55,000 feet, and utilized an inertial navigation system linked to the aircraft. First deployed in the early 1960s, it was withdrawn from service in 1976.

The stand's manufacturer is unknown. John and Cynthia Heyde donated the model and stand to the museum in the late 1980s.
