Note: The Arsenal of Democracy Fly-In has been postponed to September 26, 2020.
Step back in time with World War II aircraft and reenactors
As we commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, get up close and personal with World War II aircraft on display outside the Udvar-Hazy Center. See dozens of World War II-era aircraft flown in for this event, and meet the pilots, interact with World War II reenactors, and learn about the role aviation played in the War.
This event is presented in conjunction with the Arsenal of Democracy flyover, during which one hundred World War II-era aircraft will take to the skies over Washington, DC, flying in historically sequenced warbird formations. A selection of the aircraft will participate in the Udvar-Hazy Center event May 9. This will be the only venue where members of the public will have access to aircraft participating in the flyover.
