Space Oddity: Ground Control to Major Party
Yuri’s Night is a global celebration of humanity’s past, present, and future in space. Events are held around the world in commemoration of Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human in space on April 12, 1961, and the launch of the first Space Shuttle on April 12, 1981. We know you don't need more excuses to have a good time, but 2019 is also the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing and the release of David Bowie's Space Oddity.
The evening will include an Autograf DJ set, a Planetarium laser light show, a live taping of the Museum’s podcast AirSpace, space-inspired activities, TED-style space talks, and so much more.
