To the thrill of large crowds below, Discovery made several passes over the Washington, DC area between 10:00 and 11:00 am on April 17 before landing safely at Washington-Dulles International Airport.

Discovery is now on permanent display in the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar at the Udvar-Hazy Center.
