Let the Hawai’i State Society’s ukulele and hula ensemble take you on a musical and cultural journey to the Hawaiian Islands. In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage month, the group will play and dance to a sample of songs that were featured during 40 decades of the “Hawaii Calls” broadcast in English and Hawaiian languages. To learn more about traveling to Hawaii and to hear a recording of “Hawaii Calls,” visit the Museum’s Hawaii by Air exhibition located near the America by Air gallery.
Performances will begin at 12 pm, 1 pm, and 2 pm. Each concert will last 20 minutes.
