We offer daily ticketed planetarium shows at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC, including several free shows throughout the month. 

You can also join our monthly virtual planetarium show presented via Zoom.

One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure

Thursdays and Sundays at 10:30 am

Join Big Bird and Elmo as they explore the night sky with Hu Hu Zhu, a Muppet from "Zhima Jie," the Chinese co-production of Sesame Street. Together they take an imaginary trip from Sesame Street to the moon, where they discover how different it is from Earth. They also journey to Zhima Jie to learn about the similarities in our view of the sky.

The Sky Tonight

First and Third Saturday of the Month at 10:30 am

Are you curious about the night sky? Come to the planetarium for a live, guided tour of what you can see after sunset. The facilitator will answer questions and customize the program based on audience interests.

Tickets for both free planetarium show can be picked up at the box office.
