Searching for Goldilocks (2012) is a single work of sculpture by artist Angela Palmer. It is a 3-dimensional piece made up of 18 consecutively placed sheets of glass onto which the artist etched the findings of the telescope aboard the Kepler space laboratory which, since 2009, has been charting a region of the Milky Way. The name refers to the term “Goldilocks planet” which indicates a planet is not too hot or not too cold to be habitable. Photo by Richard Holttum.
