    Before completely lowering the Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis, staff replace its historic tires for a set of automotive tires. The aircraft was lowered to the floor in early 2015 as a part of the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall rennovation. To protect the aircraft's historic tires and allow staff to maneuver the aircraft, a set of new tires were installed.
