    Flight Sergeant (F/SGT.) Kendall Clark Bolland was a navigator assigned 3 Bomber/Reconnaissance Squadron RNZAF. He was with the first contingent of New Zealanders that arrived at Guadalcanal in May 1943.  His identity card records his promotion to Flying Officer and assignment to Cactus.  From May 5 to June 25, 1943, Bolland carefully recorded all thirty-one of his missions and encounters in his logbook while assigned at Guadalcanal. (Images Courtesy of Kaye Bolland)
