Revell Fokker Triplane and Sopwith Camel model kit box cover
Revell produced numerous classic models, including the Fokker Dr.I Triplane and Sopwith Camel. The fanciful box art of the 1950s came to an end with the beginning of the consumer protection era in the 1960s. Boxes then had to advertise the models with photos—to better reflect the actual contents of the kits. (© Jessica Sterling Photography)
