It is important that the concrete in the Aviation Hangar floor meets all standards and specifications. The floor must support some very heavy national treasures as well as provide a smooth surface for the many visitors who will walk on it. For every 100 yards of concrete delivered by DuBrook Concrete, Inc., the Engineering Consulting Services, Inc. technicians use an airmeter to test for air content, take its temperature (needs to be 60-80 F), and measure the slump of the mix (consistency). A sample is molded into a cylinder that is taken to a laboratory where a machine measures the pressure at which it breaks.
