• Piper Cub is First Artifact to Move to Udvar-Hazy Center

    On 17 March 2003, the well-known J-3 Piper Cub was the first artifact to be moved from the Paul E. Garber Preservation, Restoration, and Storage Facility in Silver Hill, MD. After the trip from Maryland to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, the truck and trailer were carefully backed through the small door in the large overhead hangar door.
