Amelia Earhart used this thermos on her first trans-Atlantic flight in 1928, in which she was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic as a passenger. She used it again when she became the first woman to fly solo, non-stop, across the Atlantic in 1932 and again as the first aviator to fly solo from Honolulu to Oakland, California, in 1935. This object is from the collection of Science Museum Oklahoma.
