• Udvar-Hazy Center Reflections

    The sculpture recently installed in front of the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is providing some interesting reflections on sunny days. Here we see the Donald D. Engen Observation Tower and the IMAX® Theater reflected on the side of the sculpture while an airliner flying overhead is reflected on the adjacent side. The sculpture is called Ascent and was the gift of its creator, John Safer of McLean, Va. The sculpture towers 70 feet skyward and is made of polished steel.
