On Thursday, May 30, 2002, at 10:15 AM the last of 21 support trusses was lifted into place on the south end of the Aviation Hangar. This is a significant milestone, and interior work is already underway. Workers are visible at the top of the arch and along the right and left sides as they prepare to remove the lift straps. Flags have been put in place to commemorate the occasion. Canadian companies have played key parts in fabricating the trusses, and the flag of Canada flies alongside the Stars and Stripes.
