• Wrapping in the Udvar-Hazy Center underpass

    No, this is not a Christo wrapping. (Christo is an artist who wraps big things and photographs them, such as the Reichstag building in Berlin, or the Pont Neuf (new bridge) in Paris.) This wrapping is to keep the concrete of the Route 28 overpass warm (note the silver heater ducting beyond the columns) so that it will cure properly in cold weather. This new highway exchange will give visitors access to the Udvar-Hazy Center.
