• Douglas M-2, Pitcairn Mailwing, M-2 in America by Air

    Carrying the mail was the most important role of early airlines. The red and silver Douglas M-2 and the yellow and black Pitcairn Mailwing hanging above it were both built in the 1920s and used for that task. The Mailwing served on eastern mail routes, the M-2 in the West.
