Doll in Mercury-style spacesuit at the Udvar-Hazy Center

This is a doll version of the Mercury spacesuit. Once B. F. Goodrich had completed all the spacesuits for the Mercury program in the early 1960s, they made nine versions of this doll wearing a Mercury spacesuit. One each went to the seven Mercury astronauts, one went to the chief designer of the suit, and the final went to the project manager.
