The Lindberghs packed equipment in case they had to make emergency landings. These snow shoes were part of Charles’ cold weather land survival equipment on the 1933 Atlantic survey flight.

This object is on display in the Barron Hilton Pioneers of Flight Gallery at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.
