    This image of the Sun's chromosphere was taken on August 22, 2011, with a Lumenera SKYnyx2-2 camera attached to a Lunt 100mm hydrogen-alpha telescope.

    The image shows a close-up of a sunspot group that appears near the center of the Sun today.  Near the sunspot group is a dark filament.
