    This image of the Sun's chromosphere was taken at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. It reveals many active features, including a pair of large sunspots. A coronal mass ejection erupted from the area near the sunspot pair on the same day.  

    Telescope/filter: Lunt 100mm Hydrogen-alpha telescope

    Camera: Lumenera SKYnyx 2-2M
