Education Discovery Station Manager and an Audio-Visual Specialist
Bio

Chris Givan works as the Discovery Station Manager and an Audio-Visual Specialist for the Education Department’s AV team. As the Discovery Station Manager, he supports volunteers and members of the Explainers Program with scheduling, logistics, and training to ensure Discovery Stations are engaging, interactive, and educational experiences for museum visitors.

Chris started working as a museum educator at the Kansas Cosmosphere before moving to the Mid-America Air Museum. He came to the east coast as a planetarian in central New York before serving as the digital education coordinator for a grant-funded project developing open educational resources at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum in Southern Maryland. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Westminster College, Missouri, where he majored in philosophy.
