    Cadet Training Thunderbird Field, AZ PT-13- Lancaster, CA. BT-13 Wm. AFB, AZ, AT-6. Commissioned 2nd Lt. Class 44-B Feb. 44 – Chico AFB, CA Flt Instructor. BT-13 – RTU Harding Field, LA P-47 Thunderbolt – to Pisa Italy 347th Fighter Squadron, 350th Fighter Group, 12th Air Force. Bailed out of damaged P-47 on 58th combat mission march 45. German POW Stalag XIII D and VIIIA. Liberated April 45. On forced marchk bombed and strafed by American P-47. Discharged Nov. 45, Miami. Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Purple Heart. Crop Spraying 1949 -1050. Tow pilot for gliders with 27000 tows ’75-’93. Over 600 glider flights. POW National Service Officer ’99.
