    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Mr. Al Joyce

Born in 1925, Al Joyce's lifelong passion for aviation began as a child building model airplanes, then as a teenager flying small airplanes at the South Palo Alto Airport in CA. When WWII approached, Al joined the US Army Air Corp Flight Cadets, training that took him to flight missions in North Africa. Al was a silent hero, never even telling his family he'd been awarded two Purple Hearts and three Campaign Medals for his service in the European-African-Middle East campaign.
After WWII, Al's passion for flight continued. During the mid-70s, Al pursued another lifelong dream and built, single handedly, a single engine prop amphibian in his home garage. Al's love for flight was second only to his family, who loves and misses him dearly. Good flying to you, Al!
