Albert was a Sgt and a top turret gunner on a B-24 in the 8th Army Air Corp during WWII. He was stationed in Italy. He was only 19 years old and on his 6th mission when he was shot down over the oil fields in Romania. They crash landed and they were all captured. He was a prisoner of war for six months when the Russians freed them at the end of the war.
