    PFC Angelo S. Venturino was originally drafted into the Army Air Corps during WWII in 1944. During the Battle of the Bulge, he was transferred to the US Army because of the need for infantry. He ultimately ended upon the western front in the Pacific during the Battle of Luzon. Angelo had a Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics certificate as a licensed machinist and received further training at the AAF School in “Aircraft and Engine Mechanic Course.” Angelo maintained his A & M Occupational specialty in the US Army. After his military service, he became the Chief Machinist at Westinghouse R&D in Pittsburgh working on many different aircraft parts over the next 40 years.
