    ?»?Mr. Bertram Sealander began his aviation career working for the Lockheed Overseas Corporation, based in Northern Ireland from 1942 to 1946. The role of the Lockheed Overseas Corporation was to perform design and modification for all combat aircraft in the European Theater of Operations. He spent much of his time in direct support of this role on combat aircraft and survived several aircraft crashes.

    The remainder of Mr. Sealander?€™s career was with Republic Aircraft and its successors on Long Island NY. He worked with the RC-2, RC-3, XF-91, XF-103, F-84, F-105 and A-10 aircraft. He served Republic Aircraft and its successors in a number of roles: he was the chief system designer for the F-105; the manager of the A-10 electrical design; and the electrical system engineer responsible for all electrical and electronic systems of all Republic aircraft. Mr. Sealander obtained 4 patents during his career and was a member of the Association of Old Crows. He was born in 1918 and died in 1997.
