Bud Wyatt was born January 26, 1949 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. His fascination with flight was greatly influenced by his father, Harry M. Wyatt, Jr., himself a pilot, and Bud's observation of the USAF Thunderbirds show (in F-100 aircraft) at Stillwater in the early 1960's. Bud is the 50,000th graduate of the USAF Officer Training School in 1971. He went on to log over 3,000 hours of military flight time, primarily in fighter aircraft such as the F-100, F-106, A-7 and F-16. He retired January, 31, 2013 as the 14th Director of the Air National Guard.
