I hired on with UAL on 10-4-1965 as a ramp serviceman. After obtaining my pilots license in a Cessna 150, I was hired by United as a pilot. Upon completion of United’s Flight School, I flew engineer on the DC-6. The remainder of my career included ALPA S/O representative as well as Line Check Airman and Standards Captain on the B-727 and DC-10. Retirement came 11-1-2001 as a B-400 Captain.
