I flew PBY-5 Catalina aircraft after finishing the Naval Aviation Cadet program. Total years in service were from 1943 to 1947.
From 1947 to 1951 I attended college and received my Bachelor's Degree in Personnel and Industrial Relations.
I flew for United Air Lines for 34 years, retiring in 1984. I started in the DC-3 and finished in the Boeing 747. My flying career included flying the above mentioned, as well as the DC-4, DC-6, DC-7, the Boeing 737 and 727, DC-8, and DC-10. I also spent 16 years as a Flight Manager and check pilot for UAL.
