    Captain George H. Wagner was a WWII Navy fighter Pilot, flying F4Fs and TBFs off the Escort Carrier Bogue on convoy anti-submarine escort duty. He was honorably discharged after the war with the rank: of Lieutenant.

    Post war he flew command of DC-3s, DC-4s and DC-6s over the Andes Mountains of South America for the pioneering airline Panagra (Pan-American Grace) from 1949 to 1960.

    He then flew command of the Convair 990 and the Boeing 727 for APSA (Peru’s flagship airline.)

    He ended his career flying command of the DC-8 for Transamerica Airlines which took him all over the world. His career encompassed 40 years of flying and 30,000 air hours.
