    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

My pilot career started as a student in a J2 cub and finished for the most part in a Boeing 747. I was fortunate to begin in a Federal Program, Civilian Pilot Training that began approximately 1940. From this program I became an instructor in the program. Following that I enlisted in the Air Force Reserve to continue in a Multi Engine and instrument training program. That led to employment with United Air Lines. I spent 37 years as a Pilot for UAL. During those 37 years I covered most all UAL routes in the Continental U.S. This began in the DC3 through the DC7 to the Boeing 720, the DC10 and the Boeing 747. During World War Two I was on the Pacific Operations that UAL operated for the Air Transport Command flying the C87 and the C54 covering the Pacific Theater.
