Soloed 1959 Imperial, California. Flew Air Taxi and charters and flight-instructed. Hired on with Bonanza Airlines in 1968 as an F27 First Officer. Merged with Pacific Airlines and West Coast Airlines to form Air West. Bought by billionaire Howard Hughes and renamed Hughes Air West. Bought by Republic Airlines (itself a merger of North Central Airlines and Southern Airlines). Then bought by Northwest Airlines. Retired from Northwest Airlines as a DC-9 Captain in 1993.
