I learned to fly in 1952. Private pilot license on 09/12/1952 in Merced,CA flying a Piper Cruiser.

Later earned commercial,Flight Instructor,Insrument and ATR ratings. Flew DC-4's for World Airways in 1960 -1961. Hired by United Airlines in 1961 and retired at age 60 in 1994 flying as a senior international B-747-400 Captain. Last trip was from Los Angelas to Hong Kong and return to Los Angelas.

I received Ratings on DC-6,7,8,10 and B-727,747 and 747-400. I was a Line Check Airman for United Air Lines for over 8 years and was named Los Angelas Domicile Captain of the year in 1990. I flew over 30,000 hours with no violations and no damages to any aircraft. I never failed oral,written,simulator or flight checks of which there were many. I now fly no more but still love Airshows. I live on a Golf Coarse in Madera,CA.
