Fighter pilot on Okinawa from 1946 to 1948 in the 301st Fighter Wing, 413th Fighter Group, and 34th Fighter Squadron.
Served in United States Air Force (USAF) as Air Installations Engineer until resignation in 1955. Continued to fly in USAF until 1955.
Received a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1951. Have operated a consultant engineering company for the past 36 years.
