Lloyd had wanted to fly as a teenager, but responsibilities sidetracked his aviation career. At age 34 he passed his private pilot exam and went on to receive his instrument, commercial, multi-engine, Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Single and ATP-Multi-Engine ratings and is a Certified Flight Instrument Instructor and a Multi-Engine Instructor. He is now a Captain in a Long Island, NY, based charter company as well as its check airman!
Lloyd did all this on a part-time basis while supporting his family and holding a demanding full-time job.
