Born March 3, 1921 in Fieldsboro, NJ.
Enlisted as an Aviation Cadet in 1942. Graduated and commissioned a 2ndLt in August 1943 at Marianna Army Air Base, FL. Transitioned to P-47 at Venice Army Air Base, FL.
Sent to Southwest Pacific theater December 1943. Assigned to 5th Air Force, 35th Fighter Group, 39th Fighter Squadron. Participated in New Guinea, Dutch East Indies, Philippines, and Japan campaigns. Flew more than 150 combat missions.
