Martin Seaholm started his aviation career at age 19 by entering the United States Air Force Aviation Cadet program March 1954 and served in the United States Air Force until late 1964 when he joined Pan American World Airways flying Boeing 707, 747, and as a Captain in the Lockheed L-1011. In February 1986 he joined United Airlines as part of United's Pan Am Pacific acquisition. He served United for ten years, first as a Lockheed L-1011 Captain and international check airman, then in the same capacity in the Boeing B757/767 fleet before retiring in February 1996.
