Capt. Paul G. Singleton, Jr., US Air Force Reserve, was the youngest flight instructor in Southeast Training Command of the Army Air Forces in 1944. He received the European Theater of Operations Service Medal with three Battle Stars (World War II) and the Air Medal (Korean War) for 2,000 hours as pilot in command with the 435th Troop Carrier Wing. He flew twelve different US Air Force planes.
