Joined the U.S. Navy as an enlisted man 1954. Attended N.A. P.S. Entered the U. S. Naval Academy in 1955 and graduated in 1959. Navy pilot serving in the Atlantic fleet 1962-1967 flying P-2V aircraft (Neptune). Joined UALine 1968. Flew 727, 737, DC-8, DC-10, 757, 767. Retired as B767 Captain in 1994.
The first Navy A/C flown was the -3N. Also flew the Albatross a couple of times. First landing was made in an n N3N . I believe it the one hanging in the museum.
