Bob Dobbins left the family farming business to follow his dream of flying in the early ‘30s. He started as a mechanic, and then progressed in his flying career until he owned and operated a fleet of five Curtiss Robins. he became a Naval Aviator in World War II, including tours as Commanding Officer of NAS Quileute, WA.
