Honored by:
US Navy Pilot, 1950-1977. Flight instructor, all-weather Fighter Pilot flying F3H-2 Demon from the USS Saratoga CUA-60. Participated in Bay of Pigs Invasion, Cuba. Vietnam service on USS Enterprise, CVAN-65, 1965-1967 as Assistant Strike Officer. Planned the first all-jet aerial mine-laying operation in US Navy. Following Naval service, flew for United Airlines for 26 years as DC-8 and 747 pilot. Retired in 1993.
