C-54 pilot in South Pacific during WWII. After war, came to work for United Airlines. At one time, was youngest PIC in US. Flew DC-3, DC-4, DC-6, B720, DC-8, DC -10, during his career. Member of ALPA Accident Investigation Committee.
Learned to fly at Ft. Worth Meacham Field - also taught in civilian pilot training program before start of WWII.
Continues to take strong interest in aviation.
